A Local's Love Letter to Bir
Camp Kelang was founded in 2019 by Rohit Thakur, a Bir native who had spent a decade guiding travellers through the Dhauladhar range and watching them leave with wide eyes and full hearts — but nowhere truly memorable to stay.
Rohit's vision was simple: create a camp where luxury and wilderness were not opposites, where Swiss tent comfort met Himalayan soul, and where every guest left knowing they had experienced the real Bir — not a curated tourist version of it.

We operate with a strict no-plastic-waste policy. All camp waste is segregated and processed in partnership with Bir's local municipality.

100% of our guides, cooks, and support staff are from Bir Billing and surrounding villages. Your booking directly supports the local economy.

Every trek and camping session follows LNT principles. We actively participate in monthly valley clean-up drives.
